About Me.

Hi! My name is Chivaughn. My interest in web development started back in 2009 when I decided to try editing custom Tumblr themes which pushed me into learning more about HTML and CSS!

Fast-forward to today, and I’ve had the privilege of working at an governmental organization, a start-up, a NGO , and a NPO . My main focus these days is building accessible, inclusive products and digital experiences at my company for a variety of clients.

Using React.js and a REST API, I made a dynamic COVID tracker as a way to stay updated and also get used to working with REST APIs during the 2019 – 2020 global pandemic. I deployed it with Netlify.

I was tasked with developing a management system for a magento site. The administrative panel was built using Laravel. Optimization was a bit difficult seeing as magento is a hefty system when there is a lot of data but that was worked around with better queries and the reduction of redundant code.
